The Coral to play Party on the Pitch

Westcountry music lovers are in for a treat as The Coral, the legendary British indie rock band, are set to grace the stage in a highly-anticipated concert this summer at Exeter’s Sandy Park stadium.
Coming together with headline act, Rick Astley, the Merseyside-based band are the latest additions to the line-up for this summer’s ‘Party on the Pitch’ concert, which will take place on Sunday, June 18.
The concert promises to be an electrifying evening of music, bringing together fans of all ages for an unforgettable experience.
With their distinctive sound and soulful melodies, The Coral have been a prominent figure in the indie music scene Since their debut EP release in 2001, The Coral have sold over a million UK albums. Their self-titled debut received a Mercury Music Prize nomination and the band have had five Top Ten UK albums including 2003’s chart-topping 'Magic and Medicine'.
During their career they’ve had eight Top 40 singles include the hits 'Dreaming Of You', ‘Pass It On’ and ‘In The Morning’. Last year they released their tenth studio album ‘Coral Island’, proving The Coral are one of the most consistent bands in the UK thanks to their knack for crafting great songs and frontman James Skelly’s powerful vocals.
Renowned for their energetic live shows and charismatic stage presence, the band is sure to deliver a spell-binding performance that will have the crowd dancing and singing along to their beloved hits.
Another, as yet unnamed support act, will be revealed in the coming days, completing what will be a fantastic summertime line-up of events at Sandy Park.
