Having monitored and respected Government advice on the prevention and spread of COVID-19, the decision has today been made to shut Sandy Park Stadium to the general public until further notice.
Natasha Pavis, Managing Director of Sandy Park Stadium, said: “The impact of COVID-19 is affecting all parts of our daily lives and with the ever-changing landscape it is in the best interests of our staff, supporters and customers that we close the stadium.
“As we stated last week, we have already instigated plans that will allow some of our staff to work remotely across all parts of our rugby and non-match day operations and we will remain contactable for enquiries during our core weekday hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
“We are of course disappointed to take this course of action, but everyone’s health and well-being is our immediate priority and we all hope that we can make a swift return to Premiership and European Rugby, together with all of our conference and events business in the near future.
“We will continue to make all further updates through www.exeterchiefs.co.uk and www.sandypark.co.uk, together with our social media channels.”
