Another record breaking Christmas season at Sandy Park

Christmas Parties at Sandy Park

It seems Sandy Park is at the top of everyone’s Christmas wish-list with the award-winning Exeter venue set for a record-breaking festive period.  Already over 5,500 people are set to tuck into one of the many lunches and party nights being served up at the popular Conference & Banqueting Centre during the month of December.

Head Chef Craig Beacham is already well entrenched in his prep for the cavalcade of meals he is set to produce not only just inside Sandy Park, but also for the two upcoming Exeter Chiefs matches, which are set to bring in five-figure crowds between now and Christmas Eve.  In what is sure to be a manic period for the Sandy Park kitchen, Craig and his team will cook over 200 turkey crowns; half a tonne of potatoes, 250 kilos of carrots and over 3,000 Christmas puddings.

Such has been the demand for Christmas functions this year that extra events have had to be pencilled into the already busy Sandy Park diary.  And with limited availability still on offer, Sandy Park staff are advising those who have yet to finalise their Christmas Party plans to act swiftly and get in touch to avoid disappointment.

Bev Gratton, Sandy Park Conference & Events Sales Manager, said: “Christmas is always a busy time for us here at Sandy Park, but this year we have seen a significant rise in our bookings, taking us for the first time to in excess of 5,500 guests.

“Such has been the demand from people wanting to book parties with us that we have not only had to add additional nights to the calendar, but our bookings have become even earlier with our first happening at the end of November.

“Our Live Band Nights, we know, are extremely popular with all of our guests and that is why we have extended our offering even more this year.”

Devon’s premier event venue not only offers private Christmas Party nights across a number of their different suites, but the Live Band Nights – featuring renowned local band Mammoth and a DJ – are now firmly established as one of the most popular festive events within the city. As well as these nights, Sandy Park is proud to be hosting a number of high-profile Christmas events throughout December, including the Exeter Chiefs Foundation/Wooden Spoon Christmas Lunch and the Lord’s Taverners Christmas Lunch taking place in the Exeter Suite.
