Exeter Foundation Gourmet Evening returns to Sandy Park
Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines MBE will once again be teaming up with Sandy Park’s Head Chef Denis Turner in the Sandy Park kitchen in March, for the second Gourmet Evening in aid of the Exeter Foundation.
Michael Caines and Denis Turner previously paired up in March 2015, raising nearly £3000 for the Exeter Foundation.
The event, taking place on March 10th 2016, will include an especially devised seasonal five-course menu prepared by the two chefs on the night with complementary wines. The chefs will introduce each course and a Q&A session will add insight for guests following the meal.
Exeter-born chef Michael recently announced he is to leave Gidleigh Park after 21 years to oversee the redevelopment of Courtlands, a Grade II listed Georgian mansion near Lympstone he plans to renovate into a luxury country house hotel.
Talking about the evening, Michael said: “I’m looking forward to returning to Sandy Park and working with Chef Turner again.
“The fact that the evening is in aid of the Exeter Foundation makes it more special, as this is a cause I feel very strongly about and thoroughly enjoy being a trustee and ambassador for.”
Denis Turner has been Head Chef at Sandy Park for four years, helping to firmly establish the award-winning facility as one of the South West’s premier culinary venues.
Denis said: “I’m delighted that the team at Sandy Park are able to work alongside Michael again. It was a fantastic experience last year and we hope to better it. The Gourmet Evening is a great opportunity to showcase our facilities and the fantastic produce available to us in Devon.”
Tickets for the evening cost £100 +VAT and can be purchased by contacting 01392 427427 or events@sandypark.co.uk
