Sandy Park celebrates record amount of match-day hospitality
The Exeter Chiefs Corporate Team celebrated a milestone at the recent Saracens game, with the largest amount of hospitality ever provided on a match day at Sandy Park.
Over 900 people dined in Sandy Park’s hospitality suites, which recently nearly doubled in size as part of a £10 million redevelopment of the venue in 2014.
The guests were treated to a menu of locally sourced food prepared by the acclaimed in-house team of chefs, including thyme marinated pork tenderloin served with rosti potatoes, chargrilled apple and beer mustard jus and apple and blackberry frangipane tart with blackberry jam and toffee fudge.
Diners were also given an insight into life at the Exeter Chiefs, with squad members Alex Brown and Fetu’u Vainikolo being interviewed by former players Chris Bentley and Chris Whitehead.
Speaking about the achievement, Head of Corporate at Exeter Chiefs, John Wood said: “The recent expansion of Sandy Park means that we are now able to meet the ever-rising demand of corporate hospitality guests.
“The larger rooms have also enabled us to introduce new dining options, such as the exclusive 1905 Club and the 2-course carvery, both of which have proved very popular with diners.”
“Some of the remaining games in the season are already nearly sold out; an encouraging signal that the team at Sandy Park are getting it right,” he continued.
Several other extras have been added to match days, with new bars and food outlets throughout the stadium and two live bands in the Exeter Suite following each game.
