Sporting stars descend on Sandy Park
Six of the Westcountry’s top sporting stars will descend on Exeter’s Sandy Park Conference & Banqueting Centre to feature in a special ‘Question of Sport’ night in aid of the Exeter Foundation.
Olympians Jo Pavey and Heather Fell head up a star-studded list of sporting guests, which also includes Exeter Chiefs duo Dean Mumm and Henry Slade, Exeter City’s Danny Butterfield and Somerset cricketer Max Waller.
Based around the same successful workings of the hit BBC show, the stars will have their sporting knowledge tested during a series of fun-filled rounds that will be overseen by quizmaster Mark Tyler.
The night – which will take place on Thursday, January 22 – will be open to members of the public and will cost just £10 with all proceeds going to the Exeter Foundation.
The Foundation is the official charity of the Exeter Chiefs Rugby team and was set up in 2010 by a group of city-based businessmen to help provide the city of Exeter and its surrounding areas with a ‘Civic Trust’ that promotes the local community and pursues the vision of people who live and work there. Last year alone the Foundation helped to raise in excess of £50,000 for charities and organisations across Exeter and Devon as a whole.
Flo Eggins, Marketing Manager for Sandy Park, said: “The team at Sandy Park are working hard to present new and exciting events and we feel the Question of Sport evening will tick the box for sports fans and those just wanting a fun night out alike.
“Not only will the evening bring together six of the very best sports people from across the region, but crucially it will also help raise funds for the very worthwhile Exeter Foundation.”
In addition to the quiz, there will be a raffle with some excellent sporting prizes. To book your place at the Question of Sport night, simply click here
