Exhibition gains a rugby flavour
Exeter Chiefs fans will have the rare opportunity to see the team train on November 5th, when Sandy Park opens for its annual b2b@SandyPark exhibition.
An open training session will be taken between 11.30 and 12.30 as part of the packed schedule planned for visitors to the exhibition, which also involves a networking breakfast featuring Mark Evans-Martin of Sumaq Ltd, who will be giving an insight into how the Chiefs use data to enhance their on pitch performance.
Seminars will run throughout the day with the exhibition’s rugby theme being carried on with seminars from speakers including Forwards Coach Rob Hunter at 1.15pm.
In addition, a second Rugby World Cup legacy meeting will be taking place at Sandy Park to provide businesses in Exeter with further information about how they can work together to use next year’s Rugby World Cup to boost Exeter’s economy in the long-term.
Discussing b2b@SandyPark, Rob Baxter, Head Coach of Exeter Chiefs said: “we’re looking forward to show fans what happens in a training session at Sandy Park and to have the opportunity to speak to members of the Exeter business community about the Exeter Chiefs”
Exeter-based businesses, ranging from professional services to hospitality and events to creative companies, will be showcasing their products and services. The exhibition will also provide opportunity for networking with other exhibitors and visitors to newly expanded Sandy Park, with a networking breakfast and designated areas for meetings.
Sandy Park, which has undergone a £10 million expansion during 2014, will open its doors for b2b@SandyPark at 10am. The first seminar will take place at 11am, before the open training commences at 11.30am. Seminars will continue afterwards, with presentations throughout the afternoon until 5pm.
The programme of seminars includes a number of high profile local and national speakers, including Michael Wilkinson, Investment Manager of Crowdcube and Yasmina Siadatan, winner of ‘The Apprentice’ 2009.
