Dream-a-way Ball raises over £25,000
Exeter based charity Dream-A-Way proudly celebrated their 21st anniversary on Friday 17th October by hosting their ninth consecutive Ball in the beautiful new suites at Sandy Park, home of Aviva Premiership side the Exeter Chiefs.
The Diamonds Are Forever themed Ball was a glittering success and thoroughly enjoyed by all 325 guests. In true Diamonds Are Forever style, the venue looked superb with no glitter or starlight spared .
Arrival cocktails were enjoyed whilst entertainment was beautifully provided by Jazz Lounge setting the opening scene for a simply unforgettable Ball.
The full evening of delicious food and brilliant music from The Lateshift and Nick Coles, Man on Fire moved on rapidly and seamlessly from then on with unbelievable magicians and other table entertainers delighting every guest. The Fun Bingo, generously sponsored by the Halfway Inn and Dunster Castle, was hugely popular as always and the Beaverbrooks Casino Royale enticed many guests to have a flutter on the tables
In addition, the wide range of auction lots, so generously donated by stalwart supporters created massive interest.
Chairman Jeff Merrett said: “This really was an amazing evening from start to finish. Sandy Park is a stunning venue and our food and entertainment were all top class. Our guests of all ages had a terrific time and our fundraising hit a staggering total in excess of £25,000 .We are truly indebted to the generosity of our wonderful guests who have ensured that we will be able to continue to make dreams come true for some very special local families”

Dream-A-Way are excitedly running into the last few weeks in Princesshay as their chosen charity and there are now only 9 weeks to go before the very lucky draw winner will be announced and will receive keys to a spanking new Mercedes , generously donated by Mercedes Benz South West.
